Construction

Made to measure with an aluminium structure and 5 mm toughened glass or 3+3 mm laminated glass, depending on the glass selected.

The toughened glass is heated to 650°C and cooled under controlled conditions, giving it five times the mechanical strength of ordinary glass. Laminated glass consists of two 3 mm sheets bonded around a transparent PVB film, which holds the fragments together if the glass breaks. In double-sided lacquered glass, the colour sits between the sheets, protected from scratches, dust and moisture.

The folding panels run along an extruded aluminium overhead track, which can be ceiling-mounted or recessed.

Bertolotto specifies toughened glass to UNI EN 12150 and UNI EN 12600, and laminated glass to UNI EN 12600.

Decorative options

The Unik version is also available with decorative bars arranged in different patterns across the glass. Sandblasted designs offer another way to introduce a pattern to the surface.

In India

Bertolotto doors supplied in India come with PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) treated handles as standard, providing greater resistance to scratches and corrosion. The handles carry a 30-year warranty, while the doors carry a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
